TERA Closed Beta, Open Beta and Head Start Dates Revealed

As early as next week, TERA will be hosting 60-hour closed betas that will progressively include more and more players until the public open beta and head start access weeks on April.

No doubt a few enterprising gamers who manage to sneak in the closed beta will be busy writing early version TERA Online Guides and TERA Class Guides to be stickied on the forums.

They’re bound to be bold because there is reportedly no non-disclosure agreement or NDA clause for the duration of the beta events. So everyone who gains entry will be able to post character screenshots on Facebook, blog about their boss kills and tweet hourly updates on what quest they’re doing right this minute.

Block off these dates now to get the full preview experience if and when you finally get that golden beta ticket:

  • Closed Beta Test 1: February 10 – 12
  • Closed Beta Test 2: February 24 – 26
  • Closed Beta Test 3: March 9 – 11
  • Closed Beta Test 4: March 23 – 25
  • Closed Beta Test 5: April 6 – 8
  • Open Beta Test: April 19 – 22
  • Head Start: April 28 – May 1

As a reminder, the beta tests will be implementing regular character wipes. Only the four-day Head Start  period will allow you to keep any character progress, but the privilege only comes when you pre-order the game.
