After yesterday’s big pre-order scramble for a TERA game box — I seriously had to re-budget to afford their spiffy Collector’s Edition — friends have been wondering out loud: “What’s the big deal with TERA anyway?”

Well for one, it’s freaking gorgeous. I never get tired of their in-game trailers which are almost cinematic. Take this new trailer as a prime example, which should serve as your recruiting video this pre-order season:

Sweeping vistas, check. Busty babes, check. Epic dragon battles, check and check. And did anyone else get shivers watching those boss attacks? Full-screen tail swipes? You’ve got to be kidding me! You don’t need TERA Game Guides telling you to move out of the freaking way.

I also like that TERA trailers don’t fall into the class favoritism trap. Heck, even the healing Priests get some screentime. The subliminal message seems to be that everyone has something awesome to contribute in a boss fight. Hope that’s true. We’ll find out soon enough when the Closed Beta starts next week.
